How Jeff Got Started
The idea of a business to sell truck tops came from Jeff's Dad, Dwight Kennedy. Unfortunately Mr. Kennedy passed away in Jan of 1985 before the business was started. Jeff's brother, Joe, knew of their father's plan and started the business in April of 1985. Since tops was all he sold Joe named the business "Joe's Truck Tops". Later that year Jeff bought half the business and within two years bought Joe's half. Feeling the business had established it's self Jeff didn't want to make a big name change and confuse some past customers, so he simply changed the name to Jeff's Truck Tops.
Today, almost 23 years later,
Jeff still carries Jason tops and over the years he's added Utility Trailers, Truck and SUV Accessories, Perma-Tech® sprayed on bed liners, Penda® drop in bed liners, Tool Boxes by SEC® and Better Built® and the list goes on and on.
New Store Openings
Jeff has teamed up with John and Brenda Yoder and Scott Wynn of Pensacola Florida to open a new store in Crestview Florida. The Yoder's and Scott currently own The Gold Crown Truck and Auto Accessory store in Pensacola. This store has been in operation for 35 years. This along with Jeff's 23 years gives the Crestview Store 55 years of Experience in the truck accessory business. This new 6000 square foot building boast a 2000 square foot show room with 3 work bays on the front and the rear half of the building (3000 square foot) is dedicated to The Perma-tech Spray on bedliner operation.
